So what's with the first three different charts? They all express the same thing. The first one is how a person unfamiliar with swing eighths might want to see the chart. It accurately reflects the weighted notes using triplet notation. So why not just use standard jazz notation and swing the eighths? Because what's being 'swung' are not the eighth notes but the sixteenth notes!! The second chart looks simpler because it asks the performer to 'swing' the sixteenth notes. And all the triplet notation disappears. The last chart actually decides to double time the beat. This makes what was a sixteenth note into an eighth note. Now the chart appears more like what jazz musicians understand. But now the beat feels arbitrarily fast and not in sync with how a drummer 'feels' the tune. So this last one is pretty academic.
